The Sane Sailor
The sane sailor tacks like a manic-depressive into the wind,
between the wholistic hallucinations of the Eastern right-brain,
and the selfish paranoia of the Western left-brain.
Mania is derived from the parallelism of the Eastern homogeneity,
leading to the associative explosion of a psychotic episode,
regression, autism, schizophrenia.
Paranoia is derived from the self-centeredness of distinct Western
timelines, leading to racism, agoraphobia, zenophobia, claustrophobia.
When the poles change, and the sailor must tack and the path of
sanity is never a straight line, but of weaving of right and left brains,
a weaving of East and West, of wave and particle, of analogy and logic,
of induction and deduction, of art and science, of virtual and real,
...,of mind and body.
